Then a trip across the James River from Scotland to Jamestown. After that it gets real nice. After passing the Jamestown Visitor's Center on the right, turn right to get on the Colonial Parkway. This is truely a beautiful ride. It is about 15 miles to Yorktown on the Parkway. It is heavly lined with trees and periodic lakes. Just before ariving at Yorktown, the Parkway opens up to the York River. Hang out in Yorktown for a bit, then return the same direction and stop at Red Hot and Blue Bar-B-Que for a great lunch. It's located on Richmond Rd in downtown Williamsburg. |
