Start at Bunny's and take route 58 West. Continue on route 58 for about
4 miles to route 460. Take the exit for route 460 and turn right on the
highwy going North toward Petersburg. Continue on route 460 for about 7 miles
to the Windsor city limit. Look for Lovers Ln and turn right. Continue
on Lovers Ln for about 2 miles to Shiloh Dr. Turn right. Go about 3 miles
to Five Forks Rd and turn right. Go less than a mile to Orbit Rd (route 637)
and turn left. Continue on Orbit Rd. If you want to see the gliders, turn left
Iron Mine Spring Rd. The Glider Port is about 100 yards on the left. Continue
on Orbit to Woodland Dr (route 600). Continue on Woodland about 3 miles to
Carroll Bridge Rd (route 654). Turn left. Continue on Carroll Bridge Rd for
about 4 miles to Scotts Factory Rd. Turn left. Go on Scotts Factory Rd for
about 2 miles to Courthouse Hwy (route 258). Turn Right. Continue on
route 258. Route 258 will turn into Main Street and will go into downtown
Smithfield. There is an Ice Cream Shoppe on Main St that is a great place
to stop for a break. Continue on Main St to S Church St. Turn right.
Stay on S Church St until it runs into route 10/258. Turn left. Continue
on route 10 south to Benn's Church (just south of Smithfield). At
route 258/32 (Brewers Neck Rd.) turn left. Take route 258/32 for about 5 miles
to route 17 (Carrollton Blvd.) and turn right. Take route 17 for about 8 miles
(you will go over 2 bridges) to Bennetts Pasture Rd. Turn right. Take
Bennetts Pasture Rd. for about 10 miles to Nansemond Parkway. Turn right.
Take Nansemond Parkway for about 5 miles to Wilroy Rd. Turn right. Take
Wilroy Rd for about 3 miles to Bunny's.

Description |
This is a cool little ride if you don't want to be gone
all day but just want to get away for a little while. It starts off
On Hwy 58 to Hwy 460. Once you get close to Windsor it becomes all
country roads that are lightly traveled. Mostly farm lands with a small
glider port located in Orbit. It's fun to take a stretch and watch
the gliders take-off and land.
